From the Source: The NFL’s Super Bowl of Coverups

How much do you know about the history behind the recent NFL Super Bowl performances?

Every year there is massive anticipation for the start of the NFL season as people of all types across the country tune in to watch the country’s most watched sport. Entire days are built around games, and for fans, gameday is a pinnacle weekly event. Americans love football. It is no surprise that the Super Bowl, the championship game, is the most watched sporting event annually. As the love for the sport not only continues to grow in the United States (hello Swifties!), but around the world, the Super Bowl, and its halftime show are extremely influential events. This year will be no different.

However, this year, at least for the halftime show, the focus may not be on the performance, but the performer, and additionally, some massive coverups by the NFL.

I am writing from the perspective of a police corruption victim who started “The Movement” in 2014 which helped expose the Ferguson situation which was the beginning of the “on-the-ground” police corruption movement. I recruited Darren Seals into The Movement, and he was one of the people who started Ferguson’s protest movement. Darren Seals and I became the organizers for The Movement, and we began to organize people all around the country. I have spoken to the victims mentioned in this story, and I have spoken to countless other victims of those exploiting the police corruption movement, including parents who lost loved ones. The perspective that I am sharing and the information that I am sharing is from first-hand accounts.

Even before the news of the Super Bowl performer for 2027 was announced, there were divides forming among Americans around the controversial police corruption movement that took place from 2014, until well into the 2020’s. For those who supported the anti-police corruption movement, there are those who support Jay-Z, and there are those who support Colin Kaepernick, and those who support neither. This divide is based upon the perception of Jay-Z selling the anti-police corruption movement out, literally, in order to seal his deal for his company, Roc Nation, to be able to choose the Super Bowl performers. For Jay-Z and Roc Nation, the deal has been great for publicity, as we can all see. However, for those leading the police corruption movement there was never justice and far too many Americans continue to be killed. Police killings continued to increase every year after first being recorded from 2014, until finally capping off last year, as homicides and other crime rates fell as well. Many viewed Colin Kaepernick as a leader who was standing up against police corruption, and for victims, and Jay-Z as the capitalist only concerned with his own interest. However, recent discoveries about what took place prior to his kneeling, the words of a potential victim, insider knowledge from The Movement, and his actions call his motives into question.

In the current predicament that the NFL put themselves in, there are no winners. The only way that the American people can “win” in this situation is if the NFL takes comes forward with the truth and takes a different course of action. Let’s take a look at the claims of some of the alleged victims.

Colin Kaepernick

The most shocking allegation against Colin Kapernick outside of his moves during the anti-police corruption movement, are the claims that came from a woman named Jayniece Prichette, regarding a claim of drugging and sexual assault. If true, her coverup could indicate a much larger coverup by the NFL and media. Jayniece did not simply make the claims and go through the proper criminal justice process, she published her testimony, wrote a book about it, and stands by her statements. In her book where she published the accounts, she talks about her past, the night in question, and how the entire experience helped lead her back to God. Her account has a dedicated article by Why Main Street in the works, and the facts that she presents cannot be overlooked. As a journalist my job is to report the facts. Jayniece Prichette told me personally, “Nothing I said is alleged.” What I have researched and read so far, backs up her claims.

In addition to the claims about the drugging and sexual assault, Jayniece also claimed that Kaepernick’s kneeling to stand against police corruption was a publicity stunt to cover up what she claims happened to her.

You can read Jayniece’s full account in her book by here.

Jayniece isn’t the only one to question Kaepernick’s intentions, however. As a police corruption victim, and as one of the people who started and led the police corruption movement, I had my own set of questions.

Colin Kaepernick’s name might surprise many as far as being on this list, but a closer examination raises more questions than answers. I reached out to Colin Kaepernick’s previous social justice email account for comment, but the account was inactive. Here is what I can definitively tell you about Colin Kaepernick’s involvement in the police corruption movement.

Colin Kaepernick never reached out to those of us who started the police corruption movement. In fact, he actually collaborated with people who were stealing from us, defaming us, and who were sabotaging our fight for justice. People like Shaun King, a con artist ex pastor from Kentucky who lied about his race, and about the origins and positioning of Black Lives Matter. He did this to position himself to allegedly steal millions. The only part being “alleged” is how much money Shaun King actually stole. Shaun King would try to affiliate and then steal from leaders and organizers of The Movement and then try to position himself.

Kaepernick also worked with Deray McKesson who was/is a literal DNC and special interest agent who lied about the founders of the entire anti-police corruption movement who were also victims. He lied about the planners, the ones with the plans, the organizers, and mobilizers. He did the same to Ferguson’s leadership, including Darren Seals who was representing the Brown family, the family of Michael Brown Jr.

Image shows actual email from the DNC database that was captured by Wikileaks and revealed to the public. The emails showed that Deray McKesson was a DNC agent and asset, not someone protesting them and/or leading a 3rd party.

Kaepernick worked with Jack Dorsey who deplatformed and shadow banned #TheMovement (the hashtag and organizing space for “The Movement,” the revolution) and who wouldn’t allow us to organize. Dorsey worked with McKesson as well who was stealing from countless people in the small business community, activist community, and in the anti-police corruption movement. Jack Dorsey is who Jay-Z sold Tidal too, after proclaiming it to be a “revolution for the artists” and a pathway to ownership for an oppressed community.

If Kaepernick was blackballed from the NFL due to his stance against police corruption, that claim could be valid, but at minimum he would be a hypocrite for working with those who did the exact same things to others, including myself. If Kaepernick cares so much about victims, and the cause, how come he never reached out to the leadership or victims leading the movement? Nearly every exploiter of the movement used some form of charity to cover up their actions. Was the intention to really help the cause and help victims, or was he creating more victims the entire time?

The NFL

Let’s be perfectly clear about the NFL’s support during the police corruption movement. The NFL did not support the leaders of the police corruption movement, neither did Jay-Z or Colin Kaepernick. In fact, Jay-Z, according to activist Tory Russell, funded his non-profit organization that was being funded by clandestine donors according to Darren Seals. For context, those who started Ferguson’s movement were everyday Americans who were fed up and not funded. This is significant because it broke a clear rule of Ferguson’s movement. The Black Lives Matter network who sabotaged the entire movement and who were used to steal all of the resources were heavily funded, but not those who started the movement or protests.

The NFL never supported the anti-police corruption movement which Jay-Z used to land the Super Bowl deal. They opposed it. Jay-Z positioned himself as a respected “leader” of grassroots movements he  had no affiliation with just to undermine them in nefarious ways. If Jay-Z uses justice system corruption in his favor this would all make sense.

While there has been a divide among some Americans between Jay-Z and Colin Kaepernick, Kaepernick did not support the police corruption movement leaders either, and he worked directly with individuals who were blacklisting, defaming, and stealing from police corruption victims, leaders, organizers, and protestors. People like Shaun King, Deray McKesson, and Twitter’s (now X.com) former owner Jack Dorsey.

When we successfully started the revolution and the police corruption movement in 2014, Deray McKesson, Shaun King, and Black Lives Matter were some of the first to function as sabotage agents and begin lying and sabotaging together in coordinated attempts to mislead the masses away from The Movement, a real revolution, and into “Black Lives Matter” which was an undercover extension of the Democratic Party. The entire intent of The Movement was to start a new third party for the youth to strategically address the corruption. Returning to the party in power without justice defeats the entire purpose of a protest.

Black Lives Matter were not protesting against the state, they were campaigning for, working with, and being largely funded by the Democratic Party. For those who didn’t understand or opposed the anti-police corruption movement, Black Lives Matter became the perfect boogeyman and scapegoat for the opposition.

The lies, propaganda, blacklisting, and discrediting was a huge success during the movement as most Americans, most likely upwards of 98%, do not know the truth about Black Lives Matter even if they feel it was a “manufactured group.” The masses are still in the dark about the biggest political movement of the past decade. And the economic ramifications, which is how it all started (it started in the business community), haven’t even been discussed yet by those who were not involved. Many people don’t even know that the same movement that started the anti-police corruption movement was also an economic movement.

Before moving on to Jay-Z, let’s take a look at Roc Nation’s CEO Desiree Perez. Perez is longtime friend of Jay-Z who is currently being sued by her own daughter for false imprisonment and several other abuses. The details of that court filings are so wild that the case deserves its own articles that we will release in the future.

Could the position that Jay-Z and Desiree Perez put themselves in simply be a way for them to obtain more power to enable more corruption? If Desiree Perez, the CEO of Roc Nation, is using the authorities to abuse her own daughter and son-in-law, who is to say she wouldn’t do the same to an everyday citizen? So far, the evidence in the case is pretty damning, and so far, just like Jay-Z, Desiree Perez seems more intent on getting the case thrown out based on technicalities, rather than proving her innocence of the allegations. A tactic that Jay-Z used in a situation I will briefly cover next.

Jay-Z

Jay-Z is the name that everyone under 40 thinks of when they think of the NFL Super Bowl scandal, and like so many times when he has been in the news recently, he doesn’t disappoint. Landing the Super Bowl deal by siding with the NFL owners during the police corruption protests, Jay-Z and Roc Nation have profited and there are countless claims that Jay-Z is Mr. Coverup.

The biggest allegation against Jay-Z is STILL the claim that he was sleeping with underage women as an adult. In this case the woman is Wanda Satterthwaite, Wanda became pregnant and had a child, and Jay-Z still will not take a DNA test to prove his innocence. Through rather bizarre court tactics that focused on loopholes rather than evidence, Shawn Carter has been able to dodge taking a DNA case. For over a decade Jay-Z has managed to keep his putative son and potential statutory rape situation out of the spotlight.

The massive coverup in the situation involving Wanda Satterthwaite doesn’t stop with the initial victim, according to Rymir Satterthwaite, Jay-Z’s putative son. If true, that would justify how Jay-Z could have no issue with sabotaging an entire generation by sabotaging The Movement. “The Movement,” the name for the revolution, was a revolution for Millennials to have a 3rd Party of our own, controlled by the people and not just elites, who represented our shared interest, and the unique issues facing our generation. Income inequality, housing, police corruption, fighting for the oppressed, Constitutional rights and freedoms were some key core values of The Movement.

After Jay-Z made the viral claim  that we are “beyond kneeling,” Jay-Z and his company Roc Nation launched “United Justice Coalition,” a coalition that claims to raise awareness and take action around key justice issues in our legal system. That positioning is interesting though as it seems that Jay-Z tried to use the legal system to dodge a paternity test. Also, the CEO of Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s longtime friend ex-drug dealer turned informant Desiree Perez, is currently being sued by her own daughter for abusing the justice and other systems to falsely imprison her own daughter and son-in-law.

There are shocking ethics bells ringing loud and clear when those who blatantly break the law and abuse power position themselves as the source for “justice.” Presenting as the solution while sabotaging the solution when people are literally losing their lives, freedom, and rights is sinister, sick, and demented.

With that said, we had an entire organization, Black Lives Matter, which was built around the same business model. Even in situations where people are losing their lives, or lives are on the line, there are some people who will still exploit.

Conclusion

Media bias, media coverups, and media blacklisting has become commonplace knowledge to most Americans as the evidence piles up. Those of us who work in the media industry or related industries already know about the lack of integrity of media. As a media CEO who has worked in media for over 12 years, I can count on my hands the number of successful honest reporters that I know.

Lying has become the way to “get ahead” and profit in media. Telling the truth when those in power don’t want the truth told is almost a sure way out. It is not a one or two company epidemic; it is an entire industry epidemic that bleeds over into other industries as well in various ways. It controls and influences our politics, and politics control nearly every aspect of our daily lives.

The NFL is platforming someone who was on the side of sabotaging and exploiting the police corruption movement and victims, as well as our democracy. The NFL is platforming someone who sabotaged and exploited artists via Tidal, only to sellout to Jack Dorsey, who was deplatforming anti-police corruption protesters. The same Dorsey who was working with a literal agent sabotaging and stealing from The Movement and police corruption movement, Deray McKesson. The NFL is platforming a company with a CEO who is an ex-drug dealer who turned informant. A CEO who is currently being sued by her own daughter for false imprisonment and who called her Black son-in-law the “N” word according to sources. The NFL never seriously addressed police corruption, or any of the issues that started the movement that helped spark the police corruption movement. The NFL never met with or worked with police corruption leaders, or even victims to my knowledge.

As millions of Americans prepare to watch another Super Bowl, the questions surrounding the NFL, Jay-Z, Roc Nation, and Colin Kaepernick extend far beyond football, entertainment, and a halftime performance. For those of us who helped start and lead The Movement in 2014, this is not simply a story about celebrities, corporate partnerships, or public relations campaigns. It is a story about lost lives, real victims, grieving families, Americans risking their lives, and a fight that started from the oppressed  and began long before powerful individuals and corporations positioned themselves as its public champions. I know what I started, and who rallied around us. Who truly benefited from the movement, who was silenced or left behind, and how much of what Americans believe about its leadership and legacy reflects what actually happened? These are questions that no Super Bowl performance, celebrity endorsement, or multimillion-dollar social justice initiative can answer on its own. In the coming weeks, Why Main Street News will take readers deeper into firsthand accounts, allegations, court documents, and relationships that deserve far greater public examination. Because while millions of Americans will be watching what happens on the NFL’s biggest stage, the most important story may be what happened behind the scenes, who paid the price, and why the fight for justice began in the first place. Stay tuned in for more Why Main Stret news.
